U of M’s classrooms provide for technology-driven collaboration between students and faculty. Our active-learning classrooms are a model for other universities.
The U of M’s Wall of Discovery is a tribute to intellectual brilliance. Stretching through the heart of campus, this unique art wall reproduces work from noted faculty and alumni.
Freshman seminars are small, discussion-oriented classes designed for first-year students. Topics include “CSI Minnesota: Biologists Look at Forensic Science” and “Photographing the University Community.”
New freshmen can participate in the University of Minnesota’s four-year graduation guarantee. The guarantee is a partnership between you and the University. If you meet our expectations for eligibility, planning, and performance, we promise you’ll have access to the class and advising you need to graduate in four year.
